Transforming Lives: Preventing Violence Against Children Across East Africa

Who We Are

In 2016, the Impact and Innovations Development Centre (IIDC), with support from the Wellspring Philanthropic Fund (WPF), launched the Learning Initiative on Preventing Violence Against Children (VAC) in East Africa. The initiative aimed to bring together key partner organizations from Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania to enhance their collective capacity in preventing VAC through evidence-based programming and collaborative learning. The learning and improvement process over the years has been facilitated by IIDC through the provision of technical support, capacity-building resources, and platforms for mutual learning and collaboration across partners. IIDC provides technical support to the implementing partners in designing, implementing, and scaling context appropriate interventions and fostering an evidence -driven and sustainable approach to preventing violence.
